Think of primitive man. As she and he thrashed about, they were vulnerable to attack from predators and other enemies. A large amount of energy was used. Most animals engage in sex only when the female is fertile. They do it faster and quieter. Man is very different.

From a Darwin or scientific view, sex, particularly wild thrashing sex, when the female is not fertile does not make sense. It may aid sperm travel when she is fertile. During the other 27 days of her cycle, it serves no purpose. The same is true for sex after she becomes pregnant or after menopause. The reason the orgasmic woman evolved may be surprising. Civiization may depend on it.
